Crunchy No-Bake Energy Balls

Crunchy No-Bake Energy Balls

Every single day, my son comes home from school and says “I’m starving!” I have heard that boys reach an age where they start to devour everything they can find in the pantry and fridge. Right now, he’s only 8, so I don’t think we are at that age yet. I am not looking forward to him eating me out of house and home. In the meantime, school sure does make him HUNGRY! Crunchy No-Bake Energy Balls are exactly what he needs to refuel after a busy day!

These Crunchy No-Bake Energy Balls are a nutritious, protein-packed snack. In the afternoon, when he gets home, he can help himself to a few of these bites with a piece of fruit. Then, join his friends outside for some soccer or work on his homework.

The frosted flake cereal adds a delicious, sweet crunch to the soft, salty peanut butter. I added in some M&Ms for color and more crunch. Brewer’s yeast is naturally protein-packed and high in minerals and amino acids. It is really great for growing kids and pregnant or breastfeeding moms. Combining Brewer’s yeast in this snack masks the slightly bitter taste.

Crunchy No-Bake Energy Balls provide a great afternoon boost for anyone!

3 c. frosted corn flake cereal
1 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. honey
3/4 c. mini M&Ms
1/4 c. Brewer’s Yeast
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until well combined.

Roll into 1″ size balls. I rubbed coconut oil on my hands to keep the mixture from sticking to my hands. It gave the balls a nice shine.

Place on a cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 30 min before serving. Keep refrigerated or in the freezer. Makes about 24 Crunchy Energy Balls.
